Thank You for Supporting the 2025 Big Creek Flood Relief Effort
Dear Friends,
On behalf of Hills to Hollers, Inc. Outreach Center, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for your generous support of the 2025 Emergency Flood Relief Fund for Leslie and Clay Counties. Your compassion and kindness helped us stand in the gap for our neighbors in the hollers and hills who lost so much during the flooding this year.
Thanks to your contributions, we were able to provide approximately $1,500 in direct, unrestricted cash grants to 8 families in the Big Creek area. These funds were used to meet urgent needs—such as housing, transportation, and basic daily essentials—and every dollar was directed to families navigating crisis in the hollers of Kentucky.
Your support was more than a donation—it was a lifeline of hope and a powerful reminder that our community stands together in the hardest of times. You helped people not only recover what was lost but also rediscover strength, dignity, and support.
We remain committed to financial transparency and to using every gift with care. As volunteers, we took seriously the responsibility of ensuring your generosity reached those who needed it most.
Thank you for being a part of this mission. You truly made a difference.
With deepest appreciation,
Deborah A. Woods, Chairperson (Volunteer)
Anthony Adams, Vice Chairperson (Volunteer)
William David Woods, Treasurer (Volunteer)

In early 2022, our founders set out on a mission to place positive influence back into the communities of Leslie and Clay, Counties. It began as a yard sale for church fundraising but soon escalated into emergency assistance for the historic flooding in Eastern Kentucky in the summer of 2022. We received overwhelming donations from numerous community members, local organizations, and businesses. Soon, one enthusiastic individual within the group suggested we use our Church’s unused parsonage to begin a distribution center and develop a non-profit organization separate from the Church. This non-profit organization was to operate as an outreach center to serve the people of Leslie and Clay County, KY. Within a few short weeks and with help from friends and family, the Advisory Committee formed the Hills to Hollers Outreach Center, Inc. Hills to Hollers Inc. received formal non-profit 501(c)3 status in record time. Since then, the organization has proactively served the needs of communities across Clay and Leslie Counties, KY, with a group of individuals, including board members, officers, and volunteers, who are enthusiastic about helping serve the community and its people in any way possible.

At Hill and Holler Clothing, we are dedicated to serving the needs of our communities, so feel free to drop in during normal business hours as we embrace the spirit of hollers and hills from the beautiful hollers of Kentucky.
